MapleStory Vibe Camp Season 2 opens
On August 18, 2026, MapleStory Universe launched the second season of MapleStory Vibe Camp, calling on developers to build original titles with official MapleStory IP. The jam spans four weeks and wraps on September 15, 2026, while winners will be revealed on October 8.
Speed is the theme this time around: entries must be built around one- to two-minute sessions. Organizers are pushing participants toward mechanics a player can understand in three seconds, paired with real-time arcade action in which mistakes carry heavy consequences.
New AI collaboration
The standout addition this season is an AI Brainstorming Persona designed to sharpen the development process. Before any code is written, the tool helps builders tighten their concepts, pushing back on their ideas and floating unexpected gameplay twists.
Where the debut season ranged across genres, Season 2 narrows in on games built for player retention and replayability. Throughout the design phase, builders retain ongoing access to official MapleStory lore, characters, and assets to strengthen what they submit.
Participation details and incentives
There is no entry fee. To take part, builders log into Verse8, link their MSU Builder account to receive weekly AI credit refills, and turn in their projects ahead of the deadline. Payouts from the $15,000 pool come in NXPC tokens, split across overall excellence, category distinctions, and community favorites.
The previous season drew 693 submissions, which racked up more than 88,000 organic plays and incorporated 341,253 official assets. Season 2 looks to extend that momentum while tightening the emphasis on instant gameplay satisfaction.
“The goal is to create experiences that not only entertain but also engage players in a dynamic way,” said the MapleStory Universe team.
