Funcom has slashed the Steam price of Dune: Awakening by 50%. The open-world survival multiplayer title now costs €24.99 instead of its usual €49.99, and the offer stays live until October 1st.
There’s a reason behind the timing. Dune: Awakening arrives on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on September 22, and Funcom is using the PC discount to celebrate the console debut. Anyone who has been holding off on a trip to Arrakis on PC now has a solid excuse to go.
Bundles are discounted as well
The price cut extends beyond the standard edition. Every bundle currently on offer has also been reduced.
The Deluxe Edition is now priced at €44.99, while the Ultimate Edition, normally €89.99, has come down to €64.99. Both premium tiers unlock extra content on top of the base game.
Add it up and you get €25 off the Ultimate Edition alongside a half-price base game. That’s a generous deal for a title that has only been available on PC for a few months.
Console launch arrives September 22
The PS5 and Xbox editions are due on September 22. Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to jump in at no additional charge, meaning the console route is the more affordable option for anyone already paying for the service.
What the game offers
Developed by Funcom, Dune: Awakening is a survival MMO/open-world game set in the Dune universe. Players head back to Arrakis, an enormous open world packed with sandworms and dangerous regions waiting to be explored.
Combat is part of the package, but survival and crafting do much of the heavy lifting. Managing resources, gearing up and building bases are core to the experience, so plan on spending as much time collecting and constructing as you do in fights.
The €24.99 price stands until October 1st. Once that passes, it climbs back to €49.99 — and the sandworms will still be waiting.
