Sorare Rolls Out Champions’ Inferno With Two Hot Streak Boards and Up to 5,000 USD in Rewards

sorare rolls out champions inferno with two hot streak boards and up to 5000 usd in rewards In Brief:

In Brief:

  • Sorare (official site) has rolled out the Inferno Edition, which comes with a new competition, Champions’ Inferno, offering rewards of up to 5,000 USD.
  • To give managers more flexibility, lineups can now include three Classic cards rather than just one.
  • Auctions for Inferno Edition cards close tonight, and Flash Sales take over once they end.

Sorare launches new competition

The new Inferno Edition from Sorare is tied to Champions’ Inferno, a competition with rewards that go as high as 5,000 USD. It features two Hot Streak boards, one for Limited cards and another for Rare cards.

The biggest change is how many Classic cards managers can field. In Season competitions usually cap lineups at a single Classic card, but Champions’ Inferno raises that to three. The goal is to bring Classic card collections back into play.

Simplified Hot Streak boards

Hot Streak competitions usually run in longer formats, but the Inferno cards follow a four-step structure. Step 1 asks for only two Inferno cards. Each step after that requires more Inferno cards, with Classic options still available. The lower barrier to entry is meant to draw in more participants and give older Classic cards, which could otherwise sit unused, something to do.

League participation focused on real matches

Players from five leagues are part of Champions’ Inferno: Bundesliga, LALIGA EA SPORTS, Ligue 1, English league players, and Serie A, with Serie A using Classic cards. Scoring is based only on league matches. European competitions do not count.

The edition’s promotional cards feature several Ligue 1 players, among them Florian Thauvin and Ethan Mbappé.

Auction phase and Flash Sales

Managers can buy Inferno Edition cards through Auctions until the evening of October 6. During this window each manager is limited to five Limited cards and one Rare card. The cap is intended to spread the cards across more managers. After the auctions close, Flash Sales will give managers who missed out another chance to buy.

Matchdays and competition timeline

Champions’ Inferno covers three league matchdays and ends on October 27. Over about three weeks, managers have to work through the four-step challenge and set up their lineups to score as many points as possible.

Reassessing Classic cards

Since the Sorare 27 season began, Classic cards have not been used much, so allowing three of them is a significant change. It brings those collections back into the game, and because each step calls for more Inferno cards, managers still have a reason to buy the new Inferno Edition cards.

The change is the latest in a series of format updates at Sorare, which recently held European Nations competitions and the Clue Hunt in Game Week 19. Its competition structure supports many different play styles and strategies.
