PlayZap pledges its YouTube Playables income to buying back and burning PZP once ad revenue sharing starts

playzap pledges its youtube playables income to buying back and burning pzp once ad revenue sharing starts In Brief:

In Brief:

  • PlayZap PZP $0.007364 ▼ -10.6% (official site) Games reported that its YouTube Playables titles have topped 500,000 plays and 20,000 hours of gameplay.
  • Once YouTube enables ad revenue sharing, the studio says all of its Playables revenue will be used to buy and burn $PZP.
  • YouTube hasn’t enabled that for PlayZap yet, so no money is funding the buyback at this point.

In a post on X, PlayZap Games said it will send all of its YouTube Playables earnings into buying back and burning $PZP. Timing is the catch: nothing happens until YouTube enables ad revenue sharing.

The studio paired the pledge with fresh usage figures, saying its Playables games have crossed 500,000 plays and 20,000 hours of gameplay.

PlayZap’s games on YouTube Playables have passed 500K plays and 20,000 hours of gameplay.
Once YouTube turns on ad revenue sharing, all of PlayZap’s revenue from Playables will go to buying and burning $PZP.

Waiting on YouTube

PlayZap gave no timeline for when it thinks revenue sharing will begin. It also didn’t offer a revenue estimate or say how often buybacks would happen.

Playables revenue sharing isn’t broadly available from YouTube yet. The company’s developer documentation calls it a pilot involving a select number of creators and lists no rate.

For now, the 500,000 plays give the studio exposure, but they produce no Playables income that could flow to the token.

Two games live, five more coming

According to PlayZap, those 500,000-plus plays came from only two games live on the platform. Across its whole catalog, the studio has reported more than 3 million app downloads and 25 million total gameplays, plus 60% growth in YouTube subscribers.

PlayZap listed five titles on Oct. 12 that it expects to bring to Playables in the coming weeks: Rush Party, Jungle Fury, Scrub Tycoon, Bus IO and AstroLock. The studio called Rush Party the second of the five, and the Rush Party trailer was scheduled for Oct. 16.

None of the five has an individual launch date yet.

From app stores to Playables

In July, PlayZap submitted its first game to YouTube for review. Titles need Google’s approval before they show up in the Playables catalog.

Until then, the studio’s games were available only through its own app on Google Play and the App Store, along with a desktop version. The platform is built on Polygon and pays tournament rewards in PZP across casual games like solitaire and 8 ball pool.

Burn history

A buyback paid for by Playables would come on top of burns PlayZap already carries out. Its 2026 roadmap includes a token burn at the end of every quarter, with the Q1 and Q2 burns marked done.

The same roadmap shows a burn of 20% of team tokens completed in the first half of 2025. PlayZap has said it’s reworking PZP around a deflation model that combines quarterly burns with staking.

According to the whitepaper, PZP has a maximum supply of 150 million tokens, and about 5.1 million have been burned.

The burns started earlier still. In May 2023, the team announced plans to burn 1,000,000 PZP to keep circulating supply in check. Back then, the idea was to burn 5% of the total PZP invested in the gaming platform each month, up to 50,000 tokens a month.
