In Brief:
- PlayZap (official site) has a game running on YouTube Playables, and calls itself the first Web3 gaming studio to get there.
- Neither the title’s name nor any detail on whether it uses PZP mechanics has been disclosed.
- Because Playables entries ship as self-contained HTML5 builds capped at 30 MB with no external network calls, those constraints define what a crypto game can actually do inside YouTube.
A PlayZap game is now live on YouTube Playables, with the studio describing itself as the first Web3 developer in the catalog.
The news came via a post on X, which stopped short of naming the game.

“Game #1 of many,” the post read. “This is our on-ramp to the biggest audience in gaming.”
The studio pegged YouTube’s monthly audience at 2.7 billion.
From submission to catalog
Ahead of the launch, a July 16 post from PlayZap said the studio had “officially submitted our first title” to Playables, promising, “We’ll be with you on YouTube soon.” At that stage no timeline was offered and the game went unnamed.
Every submission passes through a Google review before it lands in the catalog. Access for developers remains in early access, and sign-off can take anywhere from weeks to months. Teams are required to hold Channel Manager permissions in YouTube Studio and integrate YouTube’s SDK, with testing, certification and live ops falling on them. Going through a partner that already has a verified portal account is the other route.
What the format allows
Titles on Playables operate as self-contained HTML5 experiences. Everything ships bundled inside a ZIP archive, calls out to external networks are off the table, and the initial load can’t exceed 30 MB. Web builds from Unity, Godot, Phaser, PlayCanvas, Cocos, Defold and three.js are among those supported.
Whether the PlayZap release folds in token mechanics or lands as a straightforward casual game remains unstated.
Roughly 450 games populate the Playables catalog overall. Portfolio-wide daily revenue reaches publishers on a 48-hour delay, and a preliminary per-game breakdown covering the previous month arrives from YouTube on the 15th.
Analytics for Playables were broadened in mid-July, adding player age brackets that span 13-17 up to 65 and older. Publishers previously had access to a single metric per game — total plays over seven-day, 28-day and all-time windows. Multiplayer is rolling out in stages, with further detail anticipated in the second half of 2026.
The platform behind it
Skill-based tournaments on Polygon are PlayZap’s core, with payouts denominated in PZP. More than 10 competitive games make up the roster, solitaire, 8 ball pool, 21 cards and match master among them, played across daily leagues, group formats and head-to-head PvP. Daily bonuses, missions and leaderboards give players extra PZP.
By the company’s own count, it has topped 2 million players, 1.7 million app downloads and 20 games launched, plus an AI gaming agent named Zen.
PlayZap was founded in July 2021 by Abhishek Buchvani, its founder and CEO. A funding round closing in April 2023 brought in $4.09 million, following a 2022 seed round with KuCoin Labs leading. Backers include Arcanum Capital, BlackDragon, CoinSwitch Ventures and Criterion VC. A $1 million grant program has also been used to attract developers to the platform.
Token at a low
PZP’s chart has trended down all year. An all-time low of $0.0009050 arrived Aug. 5, putting the token roughly 91% below where it stood 12 months ago and about 34% down over the past month. The peak was $0.6023 on Nov. 12, 2023.
A migration of PZP from the old contract to a new one was also carried out, announced through the company’s X account. Circulating supply stands at around 38.94 million against a 150 million ceiling, with trading available on KuCoin and Gate.
Volume over 24 hours is running near $55,000.
