Wemade’s blockchain MMORPG Night Crows is set to launch its new RAVN token on July 29, introducing a seasonal system that connects in-game effort to blockchain rewards.
This update marks the beginning of a six-season roadmap, where each season lasts 14 weeks and introduces exclusive gear that players can only earn and use during that time.
Seasonal Progression with Limited-Time Gear
The update brings a new way to engage with character development through time-limited gear. RAVN tokens can be used to buy seasonal gear chests, offering equipment with its own dedicated slots and upgrade paths. Once the season ends, the gear and chests become unavailable, creating a sense of urgency and exclusivity around each season’s content.
Earning and Using RAVN and RAVIUM
Players can earn RAVN by reaching level 45 and collecting a special in-game item called RAVIUM. RAVIUM can be minted into RAVN, and the reverse process is also supported, allowing flexibility between gameplay and blockchain use. RAVIUM also acts as a crafting material, giving players multiple uses for what they earn.
Staking for Passive Rewards
In addition to gameplay, players can stake Night Crows’ main token, CROW, to passively earn RAVN. The staking system has no lock-in period, allowing users to enter or exit freely. This feature remains active across seasons, making it a consistent method for long-term players to earn rewards.
A new seasonal market for RAVN will go live on PNIX DEX, where players can trade the token directly for WEMIX. This adds external value to seasonal progress and gives players the option to monetize their efforts. Unlike other utility tokens in the game, RAVN has its own trading lane, highlighting its importance within the Night Crows ecosystem.
Night Crows operates a complex token economy featuring nine utility tokens in addition to CROW. Each token has a cap and requires specific in-game items and vDIA (an earned resource) to mint. Minting fees adjust based on token price averages to ensure economic balance. When tokens are no longer needed, they can be burned in exchange for in-game items.
Game Growth and Future Seasons
Originally launched in April 2023, Night Crows quickly became a top-grossing title in South Korea. Built in Unreal Engine 5, the game blends medieval combat, gear crafting, and massive PvP battles. The new seasonal system deepens progression and links gameplay more closely to web3 rewards. With five more seasons planned, the RAVN token sets the stage for long-term blockchain engagement in one of the most active web3 gaming ecosystems.
