Hello eGamers, and welcome to a small introduction to the Lava Labs’ debut title AFAR!
For starters, AFAR is an upcoming third-person, hero-based arcade platform on the Ethereum blockchain with a series of games. The game is available for PC/browser. At the time of writing, there are three gameplay modes inside the AFAR ecosystem. A PvP game, a Mining game, and a Spaceship game.
Gameplay
- PvP Game: Its gameplay consists of 25 players competing with each other in 4-minute battles of 4 rounds, collecting points, buffs, and weapons while racing to the finish line.
- Mining Game: Players there have to manage their mining camp. They build, harvest resources, and defend the camp from attackers!
- Spaceship Game: The Spaceship game allows players to travel across the universe in search of rare goods. These goods can be later sold for profit in the AFAR marketplace!
AFAR, once in the past, raised $10M to continue the game’s development and expand its development team. Dialectic led the funding round in March, with participation from Animoca Brands, Razer Computer, Defiance, Dragonfly, Meric Circle, Weak Simp Cap, Dapper Labs, Maven11, and more!
