Alexander Zverev Partners with Fungiball for Blockchain Fantasy Tennis Game

Blockchain fantasy tennis game Fungiball recently announced a partnership with world number 4 tennis player Alexander Zverev. This collaboration marks Zverev as the highest-ranked licensed player to be featured in the game.

Fungiball, based in France, operates as both an NFT platform and a game, launching in December 2023 and utilizing the Polygon network.

Fungiball also offers unique cards representing specific tennis skills such as Power, Serve, Return, and Mental. These skills are updated weekly based on players’ real-life performances, with scores ranging from 0 to 100. Each player’s skill is also available in different rarities – Unique, Gold, and Silver.

Starting on the 24th of May, users will have the opportunity to purchase and collect the first eight Zverev cards, four gold and four silver, showcasing the player’s skills. Fungiball includes 13 of the current top 50 tennis players in the world alongside Zverev.

Alexander Zverev, a 27-year-old German professional tennis player, started his journey in the sport at the age of five. Apart from his successful career, Zverev has also established a foundation to support children with type 1 diabetes, a condition he also lives with.
