Astra Nova Torches 350 Million RVV as First Stage of 1 Billion Token Mega Burn Gets Underway

astra nova torches 350 million rvv as first stage of 1 billion token m In Brief:

In Brief:

  • Astra Nova RVV $0.00003175 ▼ -12.3% (official site) has launched the Forge, destroying 350 million RVV tokens in one transaction on BNB Smart Chain.
  • The burn kicks off a 1 billion RVV Mega Burn program meant to shrink total supply by 10 percent.
  • Because the tokens are permanently removed, the move is expected to have a significant effect on circulating supply.

Astra Nova begins large-scale RVV burn

As part of its Mega Burn program, Astra Nova has started a major token burn, taking 350 million RVV out of circulation. Holders can verify the transaction, which took place on BNB Smart Chain, on BscScan.

The opening burn of 350 million accounts for 35 percent of the 1 billion RVV slated for removal. The program is split into six phases in total, with the remaining 650 million RVV broken into five tranches of 130 million apiece. No date has been announced for the next phase.

What it means for token supply

With this burn, the maximum supply of RVV drops from 10 billion to 9 billion. Although the program amounts to a 10 percent reduction on paper, its effect on the supply actually trading on the market is larger. Roughly 1.02 billion RVV are currently in circulation, so the size of this burn is close to the entire existing circulating supply.

The project has not said which allocations the burned tokens came from, leaving open questions about the wider distribution.

Continuous burn mechanisms

Alongside the scheduled Mega Burn, Astra Nova runs an automated buyback-and-burn system linked to TokenPlay, its app platform. Driven by transaction fees, this model produces continuous token removals that supplement the fixed, publicly announced reductions.

The structured plan comes after a difficult first year for RVV. Following its launch with exchange listings in October 2025, the project lost $10 million in a market maker hack, which led the team to commit to a buyback.

Recovering from the hack

Completed in January 2026, the buyback repurchased 660 million RVV worth between $6.5 million and $7 million. The tokens were placed in a public wallet under a six-month lockup, with their eventual use tied to ecosystem incentives.

According to co-founder Faizy Ahmed, the buyback was “a reaffirmation of who we are and how we build.”

Looking ahead for Astra Nova

Astra Nova describes itself as an AI-powered entertainment ecosystem that blends adaptive AI with player-driven storytelling. Its lineup spans TokenPlay, an AI game creation platform, along with an AI-driven action RPG, a webcomic platform, and a loyalty rewards network.

Within this ecosystem, RVV has several roles, covering in-game transactions, NFT purchases, staking, and governance. Staking went live in November 2025, and 57 percent of the token’s total supply allocation is set aside for community and ecosystem initiatives.

With the 350-million token burn now complete, 650 million RVV are still scheduled to be burned in upcoming phases of the program.
