Axie Infinity has launched major updates to enhance the gaming experience for both new and experienced players. The latest improvements include the introduction of Starter and Guardian Mode Quests, expansions in Tower Mode, and refinements to Gear mechanics.
The new Starter Mode Quests are designed to help beginners enter the Axie Classic ecosystem without needing to own axies. Players can complete simple tasks like logging in, participating in PvP battles, or clearing easier Tower Mode levels to earn Gold, Gems, and other in-game resources.
For experienced players who already own at least three axies, Guardian Mode Quests offer more advanced challenges. These quests require higher skill levels, such as winning streaks in the Cursed Coliseum. In return, players earn Gold, Dust, and additional Premium Pass Rewards if they are part of the Battle Pass system.
One of the most significant updates is the expansion of Tower Mode, which now features 10 floors instead of 5. This change doubles both the challenge and the rewards, making PvE gameplay more engaging. Additionally, Gear mechanics have been reworked, allowing players to equip, upgrade, and craft items for deeper strategic customization.
Gameplay Balancing and Quality-of-Life Improvements
The update also includes adjustments to the Attack+ Buff Mechanic, making it easier for players to track and use damage boosts strategically. The buff now applies for a set number of turns after the next played card, rather than lasting a fixed number of rounds.
Other improvements include faster matchmaking times, an upgraded friend request system with bulk approval or rejection options, and a new card name search feature for better deck management. UI enhancements have also been introduced to improve gameplay clarity and accessibility.
