Sky Mavis, the team behind Axie Infinity, has officially kicked off the Origins Season 12 (S12) Postseason, marking the start of the highly anticipated Elite 8 tournament.
With a total prize pool of 10,000 AXS split between competitive gameplay and collectible rewards, this postseason offers glory and valuable prizes for the Axie community.
Elite 8 Tournament Begins April 21
The postseason highlight is the Elite 8 tournament, where the top eight Origins players will compete for a 3,000 AXS prize pool. The tournament is set to begin on Monday, April 21, and will be livestreamed for the community to watch the action unfold. All finalists will receive Morph Tickets to assist in preparing their teams for the battles ahead.
The format follows a double elimination bracket. Players must register three teams of three Axies each, with strict rules to prevent team overlap and ensure fairness. The Grand Finals will feature a “twice-to-beat” advantage for any player who reaches the finals without a single match loss. To win a match, players must secure one win with each of their three teams, no reusing a winning team in the same match.
Morph Tickets and Team Registration Rules
Each tournament participant must submit Morph Parts if their teams include collectible Axies. Once registered, Axies and Morph configurations cannot be changed. To support fair play, a tool will be provided to verify team eligibility before matches begin. The top eight players have also been invited to join the Axie Tournament Discord for ongoing updates and instructions.
Collectible Ticket Rewards Rolling Out
Beyond the tournament, the postseason also rewards collectors. Players who received Collectible Chests during Season 12 will soon receive AXS based on the number of Collectible Tickets they hold. The total collectible reward pool stands at 7,000 AXS, and each ticket is valued at 0.371523 mAXS. Over 18 million Collectible Tickets were issued during the season, and rewards will be automatically sent to players’ Ronin wallets.
