Axie Infinity is finally adding more $SLP utility as the new major update for Axie Infinity Origin is here. It was one of the most awaited comebacks all the gamers had been waiting for this game, and now it’s finally here.
The update, labeled Origin Season 0 marking the game’s transition into Phase 3, brings about many new and major changes to the famous blockchain game. Out of all the major features, the most important one is the inclusion of $SLP rewards into ranked battles.
As the Sky Mavis team ushers the transition into Origin, Battles v2 will not be rewarding you $SLP anymore. Runes and Charms also live along with more leaderboard rewards and balance updates.

Season 0 Update: Runes and Charms
Runes and Charms are ERC-1155 tokens as Ronin Runes and Charms.
- Require SLP to craft
- Can be minted onto the blockchain
- Can be bought/sold/gifted using the marketplace
Here’s How To Withdraw/Deposit Runes and Charms
Season 0 Update: $SLP Rewards
As part of Phase 3, SLP is being moved from Axie Infinity Classic (V2) to Axie Infinity Origin (V3). They did this to balance the SLP economy as the game introduced the SLP rewards system with Origin.
You can now earn SLP rewards based on the player rank during PvP battles. Additionally, the mint time has been decreased to 7 days from 14 days. The players still have to wait 30 days before minting SLP for Season 0.
Not only SLP but adjusted AXS rewards are coming with Season 0. In the Season 0 update, the top 20,000 players will receive the allocated 60,708 AXS. The top 1 of Season 0 will receive 600,000 mAXS. (equivalent to 600 AXS)

Season 0 will last for 30 only after that follows Season 1.
