Azarus Reports Record Engagement From Evo Streaming Campaign

Streaming overlay platform, Azarus, has reported record engagement from its Evo Tournament campaign. Azarus partnered with Twitch to run interactive overlays during the AT&T sponsored event and in the process set new benchmarks for user engagement.

The Evolution Championship Series (Evo) was hosted at the Las Vegas Convention Center from July 19-21, uniting the world’s top esports players and fans. Throughout the event, viewers all over the world were able to watch the action through Twitch live streams enhanced by Azarus overlays.

Azarus provided a selection of trivia games and Rock Paper Scissors (RPS) competitions on Twitch, providing novel ways for fans to participate. The collaboration between Azarus and Twitch proved to be a resounding success, culminating in a record 37,000 concurrent players competing in streaming overlay mini-games.

Over the course of the three-day event, more than 74,000 players participated in the Azarus-Twitch campaign and 4,200 codes were distributed. The trivia sessions, featuring dynamic questions based on stream clips, also proved popular, boosting streaming engagement rates by 21%. RPS, meanwhile,  offering real-time competition against the Evo Champion, recorded a 51% engagement rate.

Fans who watched Evo live streams over Twitch and engaged with Azarus overlays were given the opportunity to win various prizes including PlayStation Plus Premium Vouchers and Evo Online Merch Vouchers. These provided an added incentive while rewarding fans for their engagement with the event.

The success of the Evo campaign demonstrates the versatility of Azarus’ overlay technology while showcasing its suitability for driving greater engagement between players and fans. Using Azarus overlays, brands can enjoy higher conversion rates for interactive ads, generate more leads, increase social sharing, and raise brand awareness.
