In Brief:
- Battle For Giostone has wrapped up its two-week Launch Season. OKimHERE topped the EU server and Zeeereeef came first on SEA.
- According to M-Tech Entertainment, the top 100 players on each server will be paid in $GBFG, sent directly to their accounts.
- The $5,000 event ran Oct. 18 to Nov. 1 alongside the browser relaunch of the 5v5 MOBA. GBFG is set to be swapped for the new BFG token once that token launches.
The first leaderboard season since Battle For Giostone’s relaunch is done. OKimHERE finished at the top of the EU server, and Zeeereeef claimed first place on SEA.
In a post on X on Nov. 2, the studio wrote: “The Launch Season is over. Two weeks. Thousands of matches. One leaderboard.”

The post said the top 100 on each server will receive $GBFG, delivered “straight into your account.” The studio gave no date for the payouts.
Splitting the $5,000
The $5,000 pool was divided equally across the two servers, so EU and SEA each had $2,500 to share among their top 100 players.
Per-server payouts are listed on the official event page. The winner receives $400, the runner-up $250 and third place $150. Fourth and fifth place get $100 each, and every player from sixth to 10th gets $60.
Further down, the rewards shrink quickly: $35 each for 11th through 20th, $15 for 21st through 50th and $8 for 51st through 100th.
So OKimHERE and Zeeereeef are each due $400 in GBFG.
How the ladder worked
To appear on the leaderboard, players needed at least 10 ranked matches on EU or SEA between Oct. 18 and Nov. 1. Any Hero they owned was eligible, the free starter Hero included.
Rating was the only thing that set placement. “Your place on the leaderboard is your MMR, your ranked rating,” the event page said.
GBFG first, BFG later
GBFG is the in-game currency and is separate from the BFG token. Players earn it through play and spend it forging Heroes.
On Oct. 18, M-Tech released the BFG tokenomics, with total supply fixed at 150,000,000 BFG. The studio said GBFG will be converted to BFG when the token goes live, and that it will publish the conversion mechanics before the swap opens.
According to the tokenomics post, anyone holding the old BFG token receives the same amount of the new one. Genesis Hero owners hold on to their Heroes through the conversion. Players who sell forged Heroes to other players keep 95% of the sale price.
There’s no date yet for the token launch.
The relaunch ran late
The Launch Season was linked to the relaunch. M-Tech Entertainment, based in Bogdanci, brought the game back on Oct. 18 as a browser 5v5 MOBA that needs no install.
That launch slipped past its planned date. “We launch three days late, so we added a 2-week Launch Season: $5,000 in GBFG for the top 100 in EU and SEA,” the studio posted on X.
The rebuilt game has six Heroes: Akuma, Lucius, Gogmangog, Gurluk, Ranvir and Auri. Between them they cover melee and ranged versions of the assassin, wizard and warrior classes. Each Hero is forged from four abilities, and every ability is a piece of equipment the Hero wears.
Background
The game’s first run was in 2022. The studio held its first pre-alpha tournament that August, then ran a $1,000 tournament with Blumint in September 2022.
Primal Giostone League Season 0, the game’s esports league, ended in March 2023 after 11 weeks, 23 teams and 70 games.
No start date or prize pool has been announced for the next ladder. The Nov. 2 post signed off with: “The next season is coming. Get ready.”
