Beatport partnered with Polkadot, the next-generation blockchain network powering the movement for a better web, on March 13 to launch a Web3 electronic music platform Beatport.io to allow fans to access exclusive collectibles and interactive experiences with artists and labels.
Beatport.io, was designed and developed in partnership with Define Creative and will launch in Aventus, a Web3 solutions provider for enterprises and parachain in Polkadot.
This is Beatport’s first move into the world of NFTs and Web3. This project will enable artists, producers, and record labels to enjoy the benefits of Web3 while allowing music fan to deepen their relationships with their favorite DJs and artists.
It is also noteworthy to mention that some of these NFTs will, in some cases, provide early access to bonus features such as:
- Unreleased tracks
- Discounted tickets
- Access to VIP areas at global events
In addition, Beatport and Polkadot will collaborate on ten major events over the next 18 months, celebrating the launch of a new collection each time! Beatport will produce these events and occur next to significant music and Web3 events.
