In Brief:
- Cambria (official site) has passed $41 million in cumulative wagered volume over the course of its Genesis event, with $4 million handed out in rewards.
- Revenue for the developer from the event stands at $788,642, with Dungeon Fishing doing most of the heavy lifting.
- The window for the Genesis Event Opt-In Agreement shuts on September 29 at 11 PM ET.
Cambria’s Genesis event stats
Activity has been brisk during Cambria’s ongoing Genesis event, which has now pushed cumulative wagered volume beyond $41 million. Jackpot payouts, labeled “uncut gems,” make up $4 million of that figure.
Wagered volume and real revenue are not the same thing, though, and the gap matters. The volume number captures every dollar players have spent, including money cycled back through repeated wagers. By contrast, the revenue Cambria’s developer has reported to date comes to just $788,642.
Player engagement insights
A look at what players actually favor tells a lopsided story. The original combat Dungeons have brought in $5.1 million, while the Dungeon Fishing mini-game has pulled in $35.9 million, or 87% of total volume.
Weekly volume has dropped off visibly since its August 10 peak. The slide is being put down to how long the event has run, with no formal launch date yet announced for the RSGP token.
Upcoming commitments
September 29 at 11 PM ET marks the close of the Genesis Event Opt-In Agreement. Ben.zzz, Cambria’s founder, confirmed that the next version of the game will first open to a limited group of “initial citizens,” with the focus on core asset loops before more players are let in over later waves.
