Cambria (official site) has settled on Thursday 29th October as the date its $RSGP token goes live. The degen RPG will mint the token on Base, and the date arrives after the team let three earlier launch windows slip by.
June was the original target. That moved to the end of August, then to mid-October. The token launch comes alongside a larger shift in how Cambria works, as the game drops its season-based format and becomes a full MMORPG.
What players can expect
Early entry to the MMORPG runs through 4,096 Founding Charters. These Ethereum-based NFTs give holders full earnings, access to higher-tier zones and a cut of the Crown Treasury.
A dashboard called My Cambria Journey lets players see their allocation. It totals each player’s seasonal points, loot chests, NFTs and renown, and a few well-known accounts have been sharing what they got. Yellowpanther said they placed in the top 1%, posting: “Top 1% in the Cambria past seasons. Been there since Gold Rush szn 2 with @GamingGridx guild. $RSGP is the ticker.”
The road to launch
In May, Cambria started its Gold Rush seasons on Abstract. Gold Rush is a risk-to-earn dungeon crawler where players paid USDC for keys and fought over loot. Total wagered volume went past $41 million.
Jihoz, co-founder of Sky Mavis, has backed the project publicly. He said that “Cambria is an example of a project that grew a ton when integrating Ronin and then became multichain for even further growth”.
Where charter prices sit
Founding Citizen Charters, the entry-level tier, are trading at 0.05 ETH, under what they cost to mint. Viceroy charters are rarer and have a floor price of 0.29 ETH.
