Cardano Foundation and Petrobras to Launch an Educational Web3 Program

In a significant move towards blockchain education, the Cardano Foundation has joined forces with Petrobras, a prominent energy corporation in Brazil. This collaboration will launch an educational program focused on enhancing the understanding and application of blockchain (Web3) technology among Petrobras employees.

The educational program is designed to deepen the knowledge of blockchain among the workforce of Petrobras. Through a series of workshops, this initiative will utilize the resources of the Cardano Academy, incorporated into the curriculum of Petrobras University. The aim is to provide a comprehensive understanding of blockchain, its potential, and its varied applications in the modern world. To make the learning experience more engaging, interactive quizzes and the use of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) are integrated into the program.

Petrobras employees will be introduced to blockchain through two initial workshops hosted in the Metaverse. These workshops will address the regulatory aspects of blockchain, considering both the global perspective and the specific context of Brazil. The Cardano Academy’s content will serve as a foundation for this learning journey. More than 40,000 Petrobras employees will have access to this tailored training, with certificates awarded upon completion. The first 500 participants will receive a unique NFT that evolves as they progress in the program.

Petrobras, on its part, views this partnership as an essential step towards incorporating blockchain technology within the energy sector. The company stresses the vital role of education in this innovative collaboration. This partnership is not just about immediate educational goals; it aims to foster a deeper understanding of blockchain among employees and explore potential applications in the energy sector.
