Epic Games, a popular PC games distribution platform, has announced that they currently have 127 blockchain games listed on their platform. This number is almost double the amount of games listed at the end of 2023. Among these games are some notable titles such as MetalCore, Parallel, Blocklords, Star Atlas, Apeiron, Nyan Heroes, and Shrapnel.
It is important to note that while many of these games are listed, they are not all live yet. Some are still undergoing time-limited or key-gated playtests. However, among the live games, there are titles like Seekers of Tokane, Champions Ascension, Wilder World, Illuvium, Mars Battle, Zeeverse, Phantom Galaxies, Haven’s Compass, Cosmik Battle, Gods Unchained, Last Remains, and The Machines Arena.
Two games have reached the 100,000 download mark as the most downloaded Web3 games on Epic Games. These are Nyan Heroes, an alpha demo of a team shooter by 9 Lives Interactive, and Blocklords, an early access version of a medieval strategy game by MetaKing.
A breakdown of the data reveals that 58% of the 127 games listed are live in some form, 28% are labeled as “coming soon,” and 13% are expected to be available in 2024. One game, Valannia Arena, is listed to be available in Q2 2025.
Among the most anticipated titles labeled as “Coming soon” or set to launch “in 2024” are Spellborne, Kiraverse, Badmad Robots, and Providence. Additionally, R3V3NG3 and Age of Rust are expected to launch towards the end of the year.
