Etherlink, a Layer 2 blockchain built on Tezos, has officially launched its mainnet, moving beyond its beta phase.

To celebrate, the platform is rolling out multiple initiatives to reward early users and attract developers. One of the key programs, Apple Farm, will distribute up to $3 million in its first season to participants who engage with the Etherlink ecosystem.

Apple Farm: A Reward System for Users

Apple Farm is designed to encourage users to explore DeFi applications on Etherlink. The program operates on a points-based system, where participants earn “Apples” for their engagement. These Apples can later be exchanged for various rewards, including exclusive NFTs and special Discord roles.

Several projects, including Superlend, Hanji, and IguanaDEX, are supporting Apple Farm. These projects have already processed over $2 million in trading volume on the platform. Additionally, the reward distribution is powered by Merkl, a DeFi incentive platform that has facilitated over $80 million in token distributions across multiple blockchain networks.

A Push to Attract Developers

Alongside Apple Farm, Etherlink is launching the Etherlink Builders Program, an initiative focused on bringing developers to the platform to build decentralized applications (dApps). The program aims to strengthen the ecosystem by providing support and incentives for builders.

Cédric Roche, Head of Business Development at Nomadic Labs, emphasized that these initiatives are just the beginning of Etherlink’s expansion. He highlighted the importance of partnerships with platforms like uranium.io and Superlend in laying a strong foundation for further growth.

Both the Apple Farm and Etherlink Builders Program will be officially introduced at ETHDenver, with waitlists opening shortly after.

In addition to these initiatives, Etherlink has been making significant ecosystem improvements, including the Bifrost upgrade, integrations with Spiko and Midas, and the successful launch of multiple NFT collections. With these developments, the platform is positioning itself as a major player in the Layer 2 space on Tezos.
