CCP Games has launched a free trial for Eve Frontier, its Ethereum-powered MMO, running from June 27 to July 7. This limited-time event allows players to explore the game’s survival mechanics, resource systems, and onchain economy without any cost.
Eve Frontier is a blockchain-based spin-off of Eve Online, reimagined as a fully onchain survival MMO. Players take part in a space exploration experience built on Ethereum, where actions and assets exist on the blockchain. Although the current version operates on a testnet, offering no real-world value yet, it gives a glimpse into the future of web3 gaming.
How to Join the Trial
In order to play the game, players must first register on Eve Froniter’s website, download the PC launcher and then install the game at the end.
Additionally, during setup, they will also create a testnet blockchain wallet. All game data is periodically wiped between seasons, as the title is still under active development.

For those looking to continue beyond the trial, CCP Games offers Founder Access passes priced between $30 and $100. These passes include post-launch subscription time, and higher tiers allow features like name reservation.
