In Brief:
- Farming Season (official site) has rolled out Village Seasons, so players can move their village off its default summer setting and into spring, autumn or winter.
- According to the game’s announcement on X, the selected season changes how the entire farm looks, with blossoming trees in spring and golden fields and falling leaves in autumn.
- The feature lands a week into Season 1, which began Oct. 19 on Robinhood Chain together with the $SEASON token.
Farming Season players can now pick which season their village sits in. The feature went live this week.
Posting on X, the project wrote: “Village Seasons are LIVE in Farming Season!” It added: “Your village no longer has to stay in summer. Pick a season and watch your whole farm change.”
Village Seasons are LIVE in Farming Season!
Your village no longer has to stay in summer. Pick a season and watch your whole farm change:
Spring: fresh grass, blossoming trees, drifting petals Autumn: golden fields, red & orange forests, falling leaves
Winter: snowyFarming SeasonView on X ↗
What’s new
Besides summer, the post names three options. Spring brings “fresh grass, blossoming trees, drifting petals.” In autumn, players get “golden fields, red & orange forests, falling leaves.”
Winter gets a one-word description: “snowy.” The post doesn’t mention whether changing seasons costs anything or has any effect on crops, animals or income.
The player guide lists the game’s cosmetic items as Town Hall colors, farmstead decorations and arena sword skins. According to the guide, none of those cosmetics give a gameplay advantage.
Season 1, one week in
Season 1 kicked off Oct. 19. That day the team shared the $SEASON contract address on its @farmingseasonio account, then opened the game at 16:30 UTC.
Per the team, the contract 0xea0071a8778fa02c12378e88868255e0e0952be6 is “the only official contract.” Ahead of launch, players were told to disregard contract addresses posted anywhere except the team’s own X account.
The X account reports that 228,607,655 $SEASON, or 22.86% of supply, have been burned since launch. That number comes from the team itself. A Weekly Arena Cup has also been announced.
Inside the game
Getting in requires a one-time fee worth $1, paid in ETH on Robinhood Chain. Town Hall levels go from 1 to 5. At level 1, players get six fields, a coop and a sheep pen. Reaching level 5 lifts produce value to ×2.4.
The Mine and Oil Well link in-game goods to real-world markets. On Robinhood Chain, Chainlink feeds follow gold through GLD, silver through SLV and oil through USO.
“Each good has a value at the start of the season and follows the real price from there, limited to between half and double,” the guide said.
Goods can be sold to the Farm Bank at live prices. Players can also lock tokens there for seven, 14 or 28 days to earn harvest bonuses between 4% and 20%.
The guide says $SEASON spent in the game is split “half burned, half goes to the reward pool.” The token vault charges a 3% fee on deposits and 5% on withdrawals.
Arena and clans
In the Battle Arena, a wave-based monster defense mode, “each life costs 5 energy.” A boss appears every five waves, with the Minotaur and Rat King among them.
Weekly clan quests pay harvest bonuses of 10% to 20%. To race, a clan needs Town Hall level 2 plus at least five members at level 2 or above.
Every week, according to the guide, “Top 3 clans share prizes in tokens from the reward pool.”
Bitget’s listing page credits @nuhbatuhann and a small community team with starting the project. The same page describes Farming Season as an “experimental derivative game project.”
