Galaxy Lab Launches Haunted Space Arena Public Alpha With Competitive Leaderboard and Tournament Entry Prizes

Galaxy Lab, the developer behind the Haunted Space gaming universe, announced the public alpha launch of its multiplayer title Haunted Space Arena, starting June 5. The four-day event will be free to access and offers competitive players a chance to earn a spot in an upcoming KOL Tournament with large prize pools.

Public Alpha Opens the Gates to Space Battles

From June 5 at 10 AM UTC to June 8 at 10 PM UTC, players can try Haunted Space Arena on PC in an open alpha phase. The game is free to play during this window and offers a leaderboard where the top 10 players will secure entries into a future tournament backed by major rewards.

The alpha focuses on one game mode: Free for All. Based on the official gameplay trailer, players will choose different spaceships, each with distinct stats, and engage in 10-minute space combat matches. The winner of each game is the player who scores the most points by eliminating opponents. Battles take place in debris-filled space arenas, giving players opportunities to maneuver and ambush enemies.

No Token Rewards, But Big Opportunities

While the alpha test doesn’t include any NFT or token-based rewards, it serves as a skill-based qualifier. Only the best-performing players, those ranking in the top 10, will earn a chance to compete in the high-stakes KOL Tournament. Details on the tournament’s date and prize structure have not yet been released.

The current test is just the first phase in a larger roadmap. Galaxy Lab aims to gradually release multiple PvP game modes, including Team Deathmatch, Collect the Orb, and Dominion, all built in Unreal Engine 5. Team Deathmatch is expected to arrive by Q2 or Q3 2025, while the other modes have no fixed release dates yet.

The studio also plans to integrate NFTs into the final game. Future versions will feature tradable battleships as digital assets, enabling players to own and sell their ships. The full release is planned for PC and consoles, including Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation, and Xbox.
