Dubai-based gaming tournament platform GameCentric has announced a strategic partnership with distributed GPU network Aethir to enhance its Web3 gaming capabilities. With over 160,000 active users across 50 Web2 games, GameCentric is looking to expand its support to hundreds of blockchain games and introduce its own GCVC token.
The collaboration with Aethir aims to facilitate the launch of a non-custodial wallet and an improved marketplace, offering gamers a seamless experience between web2 and web3 platforms. Additionally, GameCentric’s presence in the MENA and Indian markets will help Aethir gain regional distribution as it continues developing its Aethir Edge cloud network hardware.
GameCentric’s CEO, Saad Khan, expressed excitement about the partnership: “This collaboration with Aethir marks a significant milestone in our web3 expansion. It reinforces our dedication to delivering a smooth web3 gaming experience and accelerates our vision of establishing a fully decentralized ecosystem where players can own, trade, and monetize their in-game assets.”
Aethir’s Chief Revenue Officer, Paul Thind, emphasized the importance of scalable infrastructure in the gaming industry, highlighting that integrating with Aethir’s decentralized cloud infrastructure will enable GameCentric to set new standards in secure and seamless gaming experiences, meeting the evolving needs of the gaming community.
