Ubisoft relaunches classic franchise in crypto gaming
A decades-old Ubisoft property is back: “Might and Magic” returns as “Might and Magic Fates,” a trading card title built on Immutable. Access costs nothing across iOS, Android, and Steam Early Access. Combat revolves around tactical duels between card factions, and decks can be tokenized on Immutable for trading.
Taking the top spot, however, is “Illuvium” — a four-game franchise running on Immutable zkEVM whose titles all feed into one another. The free-to-play lineup spans an auto-battler, an RPG, a city-builder, and a collectible avatar system. Stakes climbed sharply with the June 4 debut of a new Deathmatch mode.
Indie games making waves
Still locked in closed beta on iOS and Android, “Exaverse” casts players as evolved dinosaurs in a roguelike dungeon crawler. Controls are kept simple, offline play is supported, and its internal economy could gain tradable assets before long.
Developed by 51 Games Sagl, “ChainersGame” is a voxel-styled MMO that has drawn more than one million players. Its modes range from farming to PvP shooters, and a digital asset economy lets players squeeze more value out of resources shared across the different games.
Continuing blockchain integration
Immutable’s original title, “Gods Unchained (official site),” remains a competitive card game with a library exceeding 1,800 cards, expanded on June 16 by the “Waking Plague” set. Its mobile release is currently in soft launch.
Taken together, the list shows a maturing blockchain gaming sector that leans on nostalgia for older titles while folding in newer technology. Ubisoft’s move is the clearest signal yet, pairing a household-name franchise with the crypto ecosystem.
