MANTRA, a blockchain network that tokenizes real-world assets (RWAs), has launched RWAccelerator, a startup support program.
Backed by Google Cloud, the initiative will provide funding, mentorship, and technical assistance to selected projects exploring tokenization in real estate, finance, and alternative assets.
A Push for Blockchain-Powered Asset Tokenization
RWAccelerator comes at a time when blockchain technology is gaining momentum in asset tokenization. According to the World Economic Forum, by 2027, around 10% of the world’s GDP—roughly $10 trillion—could be stored on blockchain networks. MANTRA’s new initiative will accelerate this transition by supporting startups working on infrastructure, tokenization solutions, and decentralized finance (DeFi) applications.
What Participants Can Expect
The program offers three dedicated tracks: infrastructure, tokenization, and DeFi. Startups will go through a competitive selection process to identify projects with high potential for impact. Successful applicants will gain access to resources from Google Cloud’s startup program, which includes cloud credits, technical workshops, and expert guidance from Google engineers.
Additionally, MANTRA’s team will provide insights into key areas such as smart contracts, legal compliance, and market strategy.
John Patrick Mullin, CEO of MANTRA, emphasized the program’s value, stating, “This is a powerful opportunity for startups to harness cutting-edge technology and gain access to resources and mentorship. With support from Google Cloud, this RWAccelerator will allow startups to reach new heights and significantly contribute to the wider Web3 community.”
Collaboration Between MANTRA and Google Cloud
Beyond RWAccelerator, Google Cloud has also been integrated as a core validator and infrastructure provider for MANTRA Chain. This partnership ensures that MANTRA’s blockchain ecosystem remains secure, efficient, and scalable.
Richard Widdman, speaking at the launch event, highlighted Google Cloud’s commitment to supporting Web3 startups. “By providing access to Google Cloud’s infrastructure and expertise, we aim to create an environment where these startups can truly thrive, experiment, and push the boundaries of what’s possible in the Web3 space,” he said.
Application Process and Timeline
Applications for the first round of RWAccelerator are now open and will be accepted until March 20, 2025. Chosen participants will be notified by April 1 and will begin the three-month program with an in-person summit in Dubai. The second intake will open later in March 2025.
