MapleStory N’s Hyper Summer Event Overview
MapleStory N, the Web3 iteration of the beloved MapleStory game, has unveiled a seasonal event that is set to be its most substantial content release to date. Spanning across three major updates through late July, the Hyper Summer event promises to deliver new classes, lands, boss content, and a raft of equipment and quality-of-life improvements.
Initial Release: June 11 Update
Launched on June 11, the first phase of the Hyper Summer event significantly expanded the MapleStory N universe. The update introduced players to two new classes, Adele and Ark, alongside raising the game’s level cap to 275. A new area in the Arcane River series, Arcana, was also unveiled, offering fresh challenges including the Arcane Symbol and the Spirit Savior activity which are integral to progressing in the new land. Alongside these expansions, players were invited to participate in the Tera Burning event, which included two Giga benefits, a Bonus White Cube, and a VIP Membership event. Additionally, the update saw the fifth skill trees receiving their third major enhancement, enriching the gameplay further.
Anticipated July Updates
The roadmap outlined by MapleStory Universe indicates that the next update is set for July 2, adding yet another layer to the gameplay. This update will introduce Hoyoung, a new playable class, along with opening Morass, a chaos-themed swamp land in the Arcane River where time behaves unpredictably. Accompanying this new land are associated updates such as a new Arcane Symbol and the Ranheim Defense content, which further deepen the game’s complexity and appeal.
Scheduled for July 23, the third update will mark the arrival of the new boss, Will, associated with a first-clear event to provide challenges and rewards to the players. This update will also include the release of new Cursed Spellbook equipment and additional Arcane Umbra parts, alongside the fourth update to the fifth skills.
Future Prospects Beyond Third Update
The seasonal roadmap also hints at forthcoming content beyond the third update with no definitive release dates. This includes new lands such as Esfera and Sellas, additional gameplay elements like the Esfera Arcane Symbol, the Esfera Guardian, and rewards like the Mirror World Nodestone. Planned quality of life improvements are set to make the game more user-friendly, with enhancements slated for the character selection screen, V Matrix, Maple Legion, and simplified town travel, ensuring that the game remains engaging and accessible to new as well as veteran players.
