Today I’m chatting with the Monolith, this is another community spotlight on Enjin community members, pretty much just doing cool things. The Monolith has done a few vids showcasing the marketing potential of linking the digital and physical world together. Whilst a mug for now is definitely a cool novelty, I feel there’s more to the story, and due to the language barrier, Jax of Spirit Clash helped out with the translation. Cheers for that:)
But first as always, the usual giveaway! Again, us writers will be giving away another batch of 10 Meltelbrot/eGamers tokens to the first 10 who follow, retweet this article, and add their ENJ/ETH Collectible Address as a reply on Meltelbrot twitter. Also Spirit Clash and Monolith have kindly offered to giveaway 3 kawaii collection ft, 1 gecko multiverse epic skin, and 5 Spirit Dust tokens ongoing for a limited time afterwards as per above. Plus….there’s another giveaway to be held on the Spirt Clash Telegram. More later on that below so let’s dive in!
Thanks for chatting today Monolith. I first came across your mugs on twitter, and think they are rather neat. But before we get into that, as I always ask – what’s your background in gaming and / or gaming development?
I’m currently 31 years old and I have been playing games since the days of the NES and have always collected games and consoles. One of my favourites was The Legend of Zelda. Nowadays I have taken an active role in a European ‘Rust’ server and have clocked more than 2000 hours in Counter Strike Go :)))
2000 hours!! Far out, that’s some clocking! Now we’ve chatted a little before and you mentioned you were a deep diver and doing the mugs was a hobby. What drew you to creating the mugs?
I have always liked anime and games. When we went to these themed expos we always looked to buy cups or shirts of certain anime or games but I never found them. This encouraged me to make them for myself.
So you dove into the world of crypto and found a pearl perhaps in Enjin, how’d you find out about it?
I have known of Bitcoin’s existence for a while now and used to mine it with an intel pentium 🙂
After seeing tons of coins and tokens all with the same utility, my attention shot to Enjin, as a player for the themed skins but also for many other utilities you can have to authenticate a product, etc. I have many projects in mind with Enjin as a use case.
I think the function and utility of Enjin’s smart tokens is amazing for someone who can dream. How did you dream up the mug idea? Being in the ocean, you certainly don’t drink coffee whilst you’re on the job ha
I poured my heart and soul into the mug I made for Multiverse 101. Enjin is not Enjin without the community. It is getting bigger thanks to people like Multiverse101, Cryptotipsfr, Eirik the viking and many others including you 🙂 Thanks to the official platforms and game developers we are able enjoy the utilities of Enjin and its games.
All this started for me thanks to Cryptotipsfr and The Kawaii Collection is in fact a sub platform of Cryptotipsfr. We are hoping for Cryptotipsfr to one day join the Spark program and become an official platform for Enjin use case scenario.
Strength in kindness I say! I think it’s really cool that hobbyists from all over the globe can do something on the side, that’s a bit more interesting than usual work. For someone that’s just gone ‘hey I want to do this’ how have you found the Enjin community?
I want to thank all the people who are supporting and encouraging me especially Pepsi Cry of Criptotipsfr and all the members of Spirit Clash, especially Jax and Voltriph.
For the future of your hobby, what can we expect next?
To keep growing and to start making t-shirts, and other items!! Also Cryptotipsfr and Kawaii collection is working on a whale of a project;) But it’s secret for now. All I can reveal is that a web developer is working on it, and it’s something we will take to the Sparks program. Keep an eye out 🙂
Cool! love a good mystery:) Now I hear there’s a giveaway involving a Spirit Clash mug, what’s the details on that?
Today we are setting up a giveaway of a Spirit Clash mug and bracelet, courtesy of the Spirit Clash team, that gave me assistance to make an interchangeable asset for a limited edition mug for their game. This assists in supporting the Spirit Clash developers and our Kawaii Collection platform. All the Kawaii Collection assets are available to view on EnjinX.
To participate in this Mug & Bracelet giveaway please join Spirit Clash telegram, and further details will be provided regarding time and date. The mug at this stage will be European delivery only, but we will do what we can for the winner 🙂
Mugs away 🙂 Out of interest cos I’m always curious where names come from – why the name Kawaii Collection?
Kawaii (かわいい, pronounced [kaɰaiꜜi]; “lovable”, “cute”, or “adorable”) is the culture of cuteness in Japan. … The cuteness culture, or kawaii aesthetic, has become a prominent aspect of Japanese popular culture, entertainment, clothing, food, toys, personal appearance, and mannerisms.
Remember, i love anime.
Well that makes sense ha, learn something every day! Anything else you’d like to share with the readership?
Dream.
Thumbs up to that 🙂 It’s been a quickie but a goodie, hopefully nothing was lost in translation and thanks for sharing your dream Monolith, and like you – rock it hard;) Will be cool to see where you take it, and put me down for a T-shirt. I’d wear it! If others want to keep following what Monolith is up to, then dive deep and follow the links. Keep well and keep dreaming!
