In Brief:

  • A loyalty airdrop for the LRDS token is now live from MetaKing Studios, available to anyone who played BLOCKLORDS (official site).
  • Claims run through the LORDCHAIN portal, and how much each account receives depends on time played and money spent.
  • What the token actually does has changed too, following the rebrand of BLOCKLORDS into BLOCKLORE and its new emphasis on AI creation tools.

Loyalty airdrop announced

MetaKing Studios has kicked off an LRDS loyalty airdrop, opening token claims to players of the medieval strategy MMO BLOCKLORDS. Every eligible account is entitled to a portion determined by its in-game record, including playtime and spending. The claim window is currently open through the LORDCHAIN portal at lordchain.blocklords.com.

To claim, users sign in, connect an Ethereum wallet, and choose how much to take. Tokens that have been claimed can then be locked into the Node Reward Program to earn further rewards.

A shift in focus

The airdrop underlines the fresh job LRDS has been given: operational backbone of the recently rebranded BLOCKLORE. That switch was made public on August 6, 2026, when MetaKing Studios shut BLOCKLORDS down in order to pivot toward AI generation capabilities. The shutdown landed only four months after the game’s Steam release, where it had drawn a 35 percent positive rating across 65 reviews.

According to MetaKing, “BLOCKLORDS is now BLOCKLORE. We are closing the game. But don’t worry, we’re launching something even bigger.” The studio did not share a firm date for server closure or any roadmap for the token as part of the announcement.

What LRDS represents

LRDS arrived with a 100 million total supply, released on a ten-year vesting schedule. Community initiatives account for 36 percent of that supply, and 31 percent is set aside for investors. Originally, the token’s utility covered gameplay rewards and governance participation. Earlier airdrops handed out 300,000 LRDS, built along much the same lines as the loyalty distribution running now.

When the transition was announced, LRDS carried a market cap of roughly 1.15 million USD, with 54 million tokens in circulation.

The infrastructure behind it

LORDCHAIN is the Layer 3 network on Base, built for security and scalability across the BLOCKLORDS ecosystem. It records in-game activity and played a central role in processing airdrop claims. Staking, which went live in December 2024, lets holders lock LRDS in exchange for a range of rewards, governance tokens among them.

Locked tokens can also earn a dynamic APR and qualify holders for exclusive airdrops, which in the past have featured Hero NFTs and rare items.

A look back at BLOCKLORDS

In BLOCKLORDS, players built family lineages inside a persistent medieval world centred on managing resources and holding territory. Work on the game started back in 2018, and it reached a broad audience when it launched on Steam in March 2026.

Anyone who put time or money into the game can treat the loyalty airdrop as an acknowledgement of that investment, and a way to bring the tokens they earned along into whatever the project becomes next.
