The Major League Soccer Players Association has announced its partnership with Splinterlands to incorporate MLSPA players into the world of Web3.
The collaboration will allow both companies to bring new sports platforms to life. Splinterlands will develop a blockchain-based play-to-earn game. The game is called Genesis League Soccer (GLS), and it will open new ways how MLSPA players can interact with their fans in a whole new manner.
Splinterlands is making Genesis League Sports a new sports gaming platform for sports and blockchain enthusiasts. Genesis League Soccer (GLS) will be the first-ever flagship game on this platform.
With it, the players can see themselves as in-game cards and will be matched with each other. The game will mimic real-life soccer by taking into account the individual and team stats, in-game events, and much more.
Genesis League Soccer will be available for both Desktop and Mobile platforms. It will feature a unique, immersive, and enhanced player experience for the fans while also incorporating NFTs. The NFTs will have use-case both in and outside the game.
