Moonray has announced the integration with the Ethereum scaling network Base to launch a unique collection of NFT character skins.

This collaboration aims to leverage the Base blockchain’s capabilities to offer tradable in-game items and token wagering within their games. Starting November 19th, these exclusive NFTs will be available for minting on OpenSea for a limited 48-hour period.

The new NFT collection will feature character skins that players can use within the Moonray game, enhancing the immersive experience with visually distinct and collectible elements. Hans Andersson, CBO and co-founder of Moonray Studio, emphasizes the importance of focusing on player value. “Our integration with Base blockchain not only enables the trading of these digital items but also ensures true ownership, giving players the flexibility they deserve in the gaming world,” Andersson stated.

In addition to offering unique skins, the integration will facilitate token-based wagering features, simplifying the process for organizing community-driven tournaments and wager matches.

This setup is powered by MNRY, an ERC20 token developed by The Miium Foundation, specifically crafted to enhance the competitive aspects of the Moonray game.

Moonray’s commitment to integrating blockchain technology extends beyond traditional gaming. The studio has already launched an alpha version of its game on the Epic Game Store and announced plans for a PlayStation 5 release next year, albeit without Web3 features due to current platform policies.

Moreover, Moonray is set to test a mobile auto-battler game early next year, as part of its strategy to expand its intellectual property, which includes PC games, profile pictures, and graphic novels. A collaboration with Reel FX is also underway to adapt its gaming content and books for screen presentations, further broadening the reach and impact of their offerings.
