Opti Games, the creative force behind the innovative online sports brawler Sparkball, has successfully secured a $2 million investment to launch the game’s introductory season, dubbed Season Zero.
L1D led the investment round, joined by notable contributors such as CMS Holdings, Impossible Finance, Yield Guild Games (YGG), Monad, and other prominent names in the gaming and blockchain sectors.
Sparkball introduces a dynamic 4v4 gameplay where players engage in a hybrid of combat and sports, striving to score goals with distinctive heroes. This game distinguishes itself by fusing traditional sports gameplay with strategic combat elements, demanding a blend of teamwork, strategic planning, and individual skill from its players.
Initiated nine years ago, Sparkball’s development journey highlights Opti Games’ dedication to resilience and adaptability. The injection of new funds is poised to significantly enhance the game’s upcoming Season Zero, further developing its pre-release phases. This season will unveil Sparkadia, a specially designed platform to enrich player experience and support the game.
Opti Games has been actively collaborating with various gaming communities, such as Wolves DAO, YGG, and XBorg, to refine the game and cultivate a robust support network.
Although the official release date for Season Zero remains under wraps, Opti Games is optimistic that the recent financial backing will ensure a refined and captivating gaming experience.
