Pool Masters Launches Pre-Registration with How to Train Your Dragon NFT Cue Collab

Eyeball Games has officially opened pre-registration for Pool Masters, its upcoming mobile pool game.

Created by some of the original minds behind Miniclip’s widely popular 8 Ball Pool, Pool Masters introduces a fresh take on online pool gaming, with enhanced realism, social features, and a new NFT-based trading system.

The launch also kicks off a major collaboration with DreamWorks’ How to Train Your Dragon franchise.

A New Chapter in Online Pool Gaming

According to Eyeball CEO Jonathan Ivarsson, Pool Masters aims to breathe new life into mobile pool games by introducing collectibles, competitive leagues, and branded partnerships. The developers have focused on both gameplay and innovation, allowing players to collect and trade limited-edition cues as digital assets, while still enjoying familiar mechanics inspired by traditional 8 Ball Pool.

The game will also feature seasonal promotions tied to real-world events, helping keep the experience dynamic and engaging.

How to Train Your Dragon Collaboration

One of the biggest highlights of the pre-launch period is the game’s first branded partnership. In collaboration with DreamWorks, Pool Masters will roll out a limited-time event themed around the How to Train Your Dragon universe. This tie-in comes ahead of the upcoming live-action remake of the film, set to hit theaters on June 13.

Players will be able to unlock five collectible cues, each inspired by iconic dragons from the franchise — including Toothless, Stormfly, Hookfang, Meatlug, and Terrible Terror. Beyond their visual design, these cues will also carry special in-game powers. All five are tradable NFTs hosted on the Immutable blockchain, adding a layer of digital ownership and rarity to the experience.

Trading, Tournaments, and More

With a strong focus on social features, Pool Masters will allow players to enter leagues, compete in global tournaments, and trade their cue collections. By blending traditional gameplay with blockchain technology, the game offers a mix of fun and value for players looking to do more than just pot balls.

The launch of Pool Masters marks Eyeball Games’ first major release and signals a new era for competitive mobile pool, combining play-to-own elements and fan-favorite franchises to attract a broader audience.

Pre-registration is now open for both iOS and Android users.
