Sky Mavis, the team behind the Ronin blockchain, has announced that NFTs on Ronin are now tradeable on OpenSea, one of the world’s largest NFT marketplaces.

This new integration allows users with a Ronin Wallet to buy, sell, and mint NFTs directly on OpenSea, opening up new opportunities for creators and collectors on the network.

A Wider Market for Ronin NFTs

Before this update, Ronin-based NFTs could only be traded on the Ronin Market, limiting their exposure and liquidity. With the integration of OpenSea, Ronin NFT holders now have access to a larger global audience. This expansion is expected to increase visibility for existing collections and attract new users to the Ronin ecosystem.

Additionally, 8% of OpenSea’s platform fees from Ronin-related NFT trades will go to the Ronin Treasury. This mirrors the fee structure of the Ronin Market and creates a fresh revenue stream to support the growth of the network.

NFT Creation Made Easier

The update also introduces access to OpenSea Studio, a no-code platform that makes it simple to create and launch NFT collections. Users can now mint NFTs on the Ronin blockchain without any technical knowledge. By selecting “Ronin” in OpenSea Studio, creators can design and publish digital assets using the same wallet they use on Ronin.

This user-friendly approach is expected to encourage more creators to build within the Ronin network, increasing the number and variety of NFT collections available.

One challenge that comes with this integration is royalty enforcement. OpenSea will support royalties only for NFTs using newer token standards like ERC-721C and ERC-1155C. Older standards such as ERC-721 and ERC-1155 will not have enforceable royalties on OpenSea, although they will still be enforced on the Ronin Market. Sky Mavis has stated that it is working on solutions to create consistency across platforms.

Free NFTs to Celebrate the Launch

To celebrate the integration, Sky Mavis has released two free commemorative NFTs—Jin and Ronke. These limited-edition collectibles are available to users who connect their Ronin Wallets on OpenSea. The minting process is simple and free, with only a few steps required to claim the tokens.
