Ronin Network has recently unveiled a substantial $10 million grant program to foster growth and innovation within the blockchain community.
Through strategic financial support, this initiative seeks to enhance gaming development, consumer decentralized applications (DApps), and decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols.
Boosting Blockchain Innovation
The Ronin Ecosystem Grants initiative, which was announced on January 16, is designed to support blockchain developers by providing substantial funding. This funding includes builder grants of up to $300,000 in Ronin tokens and waypoint gas grants of up to $20,000. T
hese grants are intended to cover various costs associated with development, such as integrations, audits, and deployment, ensuring that new projects have the resources needed to succeed.
Developers who receive these grants will be subject to milestone-based funding unlocks, which are contingent upon their project’s alignment with Ronin’s long-term goals.
Enhancing User Experience and Developer Engagement
The waypoint gas grants specifically aim to improve the blockchain interaction experience by covering gas costs, thus facilitating smoother transitions for users new to blockchain technologies.
This effort is part of a broader strategy to attract more developers to the Ronin blockchain, encouraging them to create solutions that simplify onboarding, enhance user experiences, and drive engagement.
Perks and Support for Developers
Approved projects will benefit from increased visibility across Ronin’s platforms, including its Ecosystem Grants website and Ronin Wallet. Additionally, developers will have access to the Ronin Builders Discord community, where they can collaborate with peers, venture capitalists, and advisors, fostering a network of support and innovation.
The grant program also offers integration opportunities with existing Web3 games and ecosystem partners, as well as potential discounts from infrastructure and tooling providers. Developers interested in multiple grants must apply separately for each, ensuring a tailored approach to each project’s needs.
Notably, Ronin’s grants program does not have a fixed deadline, allowing developers to apply at any time with a review process that spans up to four weeks. This open-ended approach provides ongoing opportunities for developers to seek support as they build and expand their projects within the Ronin ecosystem.
