In Brief:
- Ronin is shutting down Waypoint on October 16, and users need to migrate their assets before then.
- Anyone who signed in with a social login or used a keyless wallet should check those accounts for assets.
- Users can migrate either to Ronin Stash, which keeps social login access, or to a standard Ronin Wallet secured by a seed phrase.
Migration deadline approaches
Ronin has confirmed that it will retire its Waypoint service on October 16. Assets left in Waypoint wallets may be inaccessible after that date, so users need to move them out before the cutoff.
If you signed in to Ronin with a keyless or social login option, check your Waypoint wallet for anything still in it. These wallets are sometimes labeled Social Login or Keyless wallets. Users who have only ever used seed phrase wallets don’t need to do anything.
Migration options available
There are two main ways to migrate. Users who want to keep signing in with email or social logins are advised to switch to Ronin Stash. To do so, they go to the official migration page, sign in, choose Ronin Stash as the destination, and move the assets they want to keep.
The other option is to send assets to a Ronin Wallet secured by a seed phrase. Users log into the transfer page, pick the asset, and enter the destination wallet address. The address needs to be entered carefully.
Special instructions for bAXS and badges
bAXS and badges have their own migration process. Users must first link their seed phrase wallet through the Axie Infinity AXS $1.22 ▲ +2.3% (official site) app, and then they can complete the transfer. This migration can only be done once, so it’s important to double-check every step.
Urgency for asset holders
The deadline is close, and Ronin is urging users to finish their migrations soon so they don’t lose access to their assets. Reminding other Lunacians could also help make sure nobody loses access to their items.
