About two weeks before release, GTA 6 may have already earned more than $750 million. That number comes from fresh Sensor Tower estimates of the game’s pre-orders.
Treat it as an estimate. Rockstar Games hasn’t shared any sales figures, and none of the numbers here come from Rockstar or Take-Two. Remember that the next time someone presents the total as settled fact.
The estimate in numbers
According to Sensor Tower, GTA 6 had 7.71 million pre-orders through Nov. 3, worth roughly $751 million in total revenue.
The estimate splits those pre-orders by platform: 74% on PlayStation 5 and the remaining 26% on Xbox Series X|S.
$157 million in three weeks
The growth rate stands out most. An earlier Sensor Tower estimate, which counted pre-orders up to Oct. 13, came to 6.08 million copies and $594 million.
Between the two estimates, that’s about 1.63 million extra pre-orders and $157 million more in three weeks. Players who had been waiting seem to be placing orders now.
The Ultimate Edition is lifting revenue
GTA 6 costs $80 for the base game and $100 for the Ultimate Edition. Demand for the pricier version looks like one reason the revenue figure is climbing.
That means a sizable share of the $751 million is from buyers paying $20 more before anyone has seen the final game.
How GTA 5 compares
GTA 5 made $800 million on its first day of sales and passed $1 billion within three days.
Before launch, GTA 6’s estimated pre-order revenue is already about $50 million short of that first-day total. All of these figures are Sensor Tower estimates, and Rockstar Games has not made any official sales announcement.
