Shiba Inu (SHIB) Trading Volume Dries Up as Price Lacks a Clear Path

At the moment, Shiba Inu’s chart resembles an empty room once the party is over. The token is changing hands at about $0.00000517, and recent session volume looks minuscule compared with the surges SHIB recorded in late July, August and September.

That low volume carries more weight than the price does. Once activity thins out this much, price swings lose their force, and neither bulls nor bears hold control.

Everything hinges on $0.00000500

SHIB fell to roughly $0.00000502 over the past few days before buyers showed up. As a result, the $0.00000500 zone is now the support to defend.

A break below it would clear the way toward the September low around $0.00000475. A recovery above $0.00000530, on the other hand, would be the first hint that selling pressure is fading.

Three moving averages stand in the way

The peak of roughly $0.00000627 from late September now looks like a ceiling. SHIB failed to stay above the long black moving average around $0.00000563 and has since fallen beneath the blue and orange averages as well, which are positioned near $0.00000541 and $0.00000529.

Both of those averages have turned into resistance. Meanwhile, the daily RSI is hovering around 40, which offers bulls little encouragement. Momentum looks weak, but the token isn’t oversold, so there’s no guarantee of a rebound.

Tokens are exiting exchanges, but slowly

On-chain metrics paint a mixed picture. About 87.1 trillion SHIB sit in exchange reserves, a 0.11% daily decline, while netflow is negative at roughly 98.9 billion SHIB.

More coins left exchanges than came in. Analysts typically take that as a sign that holders are in no hurry to sell.

Dig a little further, though, and the signal weakens. The seven-day average of outflows dropped 42%, and the average inflow slid 14%. Token movement is slowing in both directions, which matches the subdued volume on the chart.

The burn won’t help much

Activity on the network is flat. There are close to 4,800 transactions and about 3,700 transfers, each up by under 1% on the day. Coins held on exchanges are worth about $447.7 million, a 0.69% drop.

The burned supply metric isn’t showing any data, so token burns aren’t giving the price any clear support for now.

What it would take to end the deadlock

SHIB is stuck under resistance, with thin trading and neither side pushing. A move backed by rising volume is needed to settle the question.

Until that arrives, the direction remains uncertain and SHIB could revisit $0.00000500. If you’re following this token, keep that level in view.
