Sky Mavis, the company behind Axie Infinity and the Ronin blockchain, has announced a new NFT-based game of chance called Jin’s Fortune Spin, set to launch on July 26.

Hosted on the Ronin Market, the feature lets users spend RON or USDC tokens to win digital collectibles from the Axie Infinity and broader Ronin ecosystems. The spins are divided into two categories, each offering different types of NFTs with varying price points and odds.

Two Gacha Pools, Different Rewards

Jin’s Fortune Spin is inspired by traditional gacha mechanics but designed for web3. The system features two main types of spin options. The first focuses on Axie Infinity, priced at 10 USDC per spin, offering rare NFTs like Origin Axies, MEO II Axies, and Japanese Axies. These NFTs hold real value in the marketplace, with the rare Origin Axie estimated to be worth around $1,000.

The second type of gacha is linked to the broader Ronin ecosystem. Spins cost either 10 or 15 RON, or roughly $4.50 to $7. This pool includes items like Pixels land and Ronkes NFTs, adding variety beyond the Axie universe.

Chances and Sell-Back Option

As with most gacha-style systems, the odds of receiving high-value NFTs are very low. For example, the probability of pulling an Origin Axie is just 0.01 percent—roughly one in 10,000 spins. This rarity maintains the exclusivity of these digital assets while encouraging participation.

A unique feature of Jin’s Fortune Spin is the option to sell back certain NFTs immediately after winning them. In one scenario shared by Sky Mavis, users could instantly sell an Origin Axie for 2,000 RON, which equals around $900. However, Sky Mavis has not confirmed how often this option will appear or how resale values will be calculated. If applied widely, this could add a layer of liquidity not usually seen in NFT games.
