Sorare, a French-based fantasy P2E game, is reportedly under negotiations with the premier league of the English football system.
As it seems, Sorare is currently negotiating with the Premier League to focus on static images of flagship footballers like Erling Halland, the so-called “Robot” of the football world. Other famous footballers in the league include Harry Kane, Kevin De Bruyne, Gabriel Jesus, Cristiano Ronaldo, and many more.
Some technology industry sources said that the Premier League previously tried to form a similar partnership with ConsenSys, a blockchain software technology company, where negotiation failed.
Sorare seems to have the upper hand on the ongoing negotiations as the fantasy game proposed a better deal than ConsenSys with a £30m-a-year deal.
The use of NFTs in the European football space has massively increased over the last year. The best example is the partnership between Sorare and the Italian Rossoneri football club (AC Milan), which brought many Italian football fans into Web3 and NFTs.
