Square Enix Joins Oasys Gaming Blockchain, To Explore Development of New P2E Games

Oasys, the EVM compatible and Proof-of-Stake (PoS) based eco-friendly blockchain built for gamers by gamers, today announced that Square Enix, a Japanese entertainment conglomerate and video game company, joined Oasys as the final project of 21 initial node validators on its platform.

The primary and most important aspect of this partnership is that both companies will collaborate to explore the feasibility of harnessing player contribution in the development of new games on Oasys.

Back in May, Square Enix sold its famous Tomb Raider franchise and 2 of its gaming studios to invest in blockchain games
