Starknet Foundation has partnered with Ubisoft to launch an educational program focused on integrating Web3 technology into game development.
From March 5 to April 9, 2025, the initiative aims to bridge the gap between traditional game development (Web2) and blockchain-powered gaming (Web3). The program will explore key areas such as game design, programming, marketing, community engagement, and new monetization strategies.
Exploring the Future of Web3 Gaming
This online program will be moderated by Starknet Foundation and feature weekly webinars on Zoom at 5 PM CET (8 AM EST) to ensure accessibility for participants worldwide. The sessions will offer in-depth discussions on asset creation, game mechanics, and the evolving role of blockchain in gaming. Industry professionals will share insights on how Web3 technology can enhance game design and business models.
Industry Leaders Sharing Insights
The program will bring together some of the most experienced figures in gaming and blockchain. Speakers include Ubisoft’s Guillaume Blossier, Louis Garoche, and Diep Tran, along with leaders from The Sandbox, Decentraland, and Web3 gaming company Cartridge. Topics will range from blockchain integration in game development to strategies for building and sustaining player communities in decentralized environments.
Building a Stronger Web3 Gaming Ecosystem
Starknet Foundation’s executive director, James Strudwick, emphasized the importance of learning from both Web2 and Web3 gaming models. He noted that while traditional game development follows a structured and efficient process, Web3 offers innovative approaches that can transform player interaction, ownership, and monetization. By collaborating with Ubisoft, the initiative seeks to create a space where both industries can learn from each other and shape the future of gaming.
This initiative marks a significant step in bringing blockchain technology closer to mainstream game development, offering developers a chance to explore how Web3 can redefine the industry.
