BreakingDown is a mixed martial arts event in Japan that features fighters from diverse backgrounds competing in intense one-minute rounds. Launched in 2021 by professional fighter and YouTuber Asakura Mirai, the event quickly gained popularity, drawing millions of views online. It offers fans more than just fights, with audition videos, press conferences, match livestreams, and behind-the-scenes content.

The event’s official YouTube channel has over 206,000 subscribers and accumulated over 110 million views, highlighting its widespread appeal.

XANA’s Role in BreakingDown’s Web3 Expansion

XANA has been closely involved with BreakingDown, having sponsored multiple editions of the event and launching the XANA x BreakingDown Avatar NFT collection. The collection’s first sale saw 5,000 NFTs sold out within 10 minutes, while the second round of 100 NFTs was gone in just one minute.

In January 2024, XANA introduced the closed alpha version of XANA BreakingDown, exclusively available to holders of the Avatar NFTs. This Web3 game aims to blend the fast-paced action of BreakingDown with blockchain technology, allowing players to engage in digital combat experiences.
