Parallel Studios has officially announced the launch of the open beta for their new web3 game Parallel for Thursday, February 29th, along with the release of a new game trailer.
Parallel has been in development since 2021 and has garnered a strong community of players. The TCG, part of the wider Parallel ecosystem, is currently available for PC but is open to exploring other distribution platforms for wider accessibility.
In a blog post discussing the upcoming open beta, the developers shared their excitement: “As we move into open beta, we want to attract as many players as possible. We aim to use our latest card pack, Planetfall, as a retention tool for maximum impact.”
Parallel Game is set in a dystopian future where five parallel civilizations are vying to reclaim control of planet Earth after a catastrophic event that occurred 10,000 years earlier. Players engage in strategic deck-building and battle it out in turn-based matches.
When asked about what sets Parallel apart from other web3 TCGs, Kohji Nagata, the head of game design, highlighted the game’s unique art style and engaging mechanics. He expressed confidence that both new and experienced TCG players would find the game enjoyable and challenging.
