Terra Founder Says He's Not On The Run

This weekend has been full of chatter about Terra founder Do Kwon. According to Korean prosecutors, Do Kwon is on the run while he denies these allegations.

In a recent Tweet, Do Kwon made it clear that he had nothing to hide and that he was not on the run. He also agrees to talk with government agencies on the Terra Luna matter. He also assured that his team is also fully cooperating with the authorities as they did nothing wrong and have nothing to hide.

“We are in the process of defending ourselves in multiple jurisdictions – we have held ourselves to an extremely high bar of integrity and look forward to clarifying the truth over the next few months,” said Do Kwon in a Tweet.

On one side, Kwon is saying he is not running; the prosecutors, on the other hand, say that he is obviously running and issued an arrest warrant last week. The authorities want to arrest for violating the capital-market law.

When asked about his plans to communicate with the authorities, they refused to comment by only saying that there had been huge evidence of him escaping from the authorities as he left for Singapore. (which is why the arrest warrant was issued)

Another reason why the prosecutors want to arrest him and say that he is not cooperating is that back in August, Do Kwon – through his lawyers – stated that he will not appear before the authorities for questioning. The Korean police have also said today that he is not cooperating with the investigation and is obviously on the run.

“Currently, we are in the process of locating the whereabouts of suspect Do Kwon and apprehending him,” said a Korean prosecutor.
