While many governments hesitate to delve into non-fungible tokens, Thailand is eager to harness their potential to enhance the tourist experience. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), responsible for promoting tourism in the country, recently unveiled the second season of its ‘Amazing Thailand’ NFT campaign, providing various benefits for visitors.

A total of 24,000 tokens can be collected at 20 different tourist sites across five regions. Visitors have until April 30 to obtain these free NFTs, which grant various perks as they explore the nation. Diligent collectors can anticipate discounts on airfare, accommodations, department stores, supermarkets, dining establishments, car rentals, and many other advantages.
In order to participate in the experience, visitors must download the YAKS app from the App Store or Google Play Store. Then, according to the information given, users shall scan the QR codes to receive the FREE NFTs. Each unique NFT features a polaroid image of the corresponding tourist attraction and comes in either a ‘normal’ or ‘rare’ edition, each with its own set of perks.
