The Beacon has announced that its next public playtest on the Epic Games Store will take place from September 4 to September 7, 2025.
Developers explained that the event is designed to test the improved client while giving the community a chance to explore fresh gameplay features ahead of the full launch.
Phase 2 Upgrades and Content
During the test, players will experience a refined combat system, enhanced enemy encounters, and updated dungeon challenges. Powerups and additional progression mechanics are also part of the Phase 2 package, aiming to make battles more dynamic and rewarding. The event is expected to attract both returning players and newcomers eager to see how the game has evolved.
Exclusive Rewards for Participants
Everyone who joins the playtest will receive the Adventurer’s Backpack, a new backslot cosmetic that will remain tied to their account after the event ends. In addition, special activities hosted by creators will grant the Seeker’s Mantle, an exclusive NFT reward available only through community-driven collaborations. These incentives are meant to strengthen engagement and reward early support.
Path Toward Seasonal Launch
The September event is part of The Beacon’s wider plan to move into a seasonal content model. Developers confirmed that more stress tests are scheduled for late 2025, leading to the official launch of Season 1 in early 2026.
Season 1 will introduce brand-new biomes, procedurally generated dungeons, fresh weapons, and expanded social features that encourage long-term play.
