The same post said: “A lot of work went into getting our next game across the finish line, and now it’s time to get it into players’ hands. Play now on browser or @Steam and let us know what you think.”

What’s in the game

On Steam, Invo Tech Inc. is credited as developer and Wagyu Games LLC as publisher. The listing shows a release date of Oct. 29, 2026, and the game launched as a full release, not in early access.

It costs nothing to play, though optional in-app purchases are available. You’ll need Windows 10 64-bit or newer, or macOS 12.0 Monterey or newer. The interface, audio and subtitles are in English.

Don’t look for health bars on the ships. Combat is about dismantling them a piece at a time: knock out enemy guns, drop the masts or unload a broadside. The store page puts it this way: “Sink ships the hard way, one plank at a time. Arc your shot, tear the sails, set the deck alight, then charge every gun on the flank and fire them as one.”

There are eight types of ammunition, with round shot, chain, hotshot and harpoons among them. Players can also put together their own cannons from 12 sets, and each set has its own stat bonuses.

At launch the game offers a campaign across seven seas, a Gauntlet mode and daily challenges. Its Steam tags include both PvE and PvP.

Road to release

A free demo of Ship Busters was part of Steam Next Fest, which ran from Oct. 19 to 26. Before that, according to Wagyu Games, its “Captains” helped test the game in a private beta.

Shortly after launch, the Steam page had no user reviews yet.

The Undead Blocks connection

On the Undead Blocks account, the release was presented as one part of a bigger plan. “For the Undead Blocks community, this is also the first step toward the broader Invo Tech ecosystem we’ve been building toward,” the account posted on X.

The post also asked fans to “Go show the new game some love and help us welcome a new group of players.”

In April 2024, Wagyu Games acquired Undead Blocks from Adonis Software, and the deal included a partnership with Invo Technologies, Inc. The studio’s CEO is Kyle Gordon.

According to Invo, its technology gives developers better tools for growing their games and lets players carry their digital spending power across multiple games and platforms.

Wagyu Games is headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky. Its launch post signed off with one hashtag: “#ShipBusters”
