Upland, a prominent virtual property trading game, recently unveiled its ambitious development blueprint for the third quarter of 2023. The game’s roadmap presents an array of new features, some of which have already been brought to life, marking its accelerated journey toward becoming a full-fledged metaverse.
New Features and User Engagement
Prominently featured in the Q3 plans is the expansion of Metaventures, which started as storefronts where owners could develop and monetize Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). Upland has now introduced a feature allowing Metaverse owners to create custom racetracks. This addition sets the stage for racetrack creators to earn income when their tracks are used, particularly as race wagering – another Q3 anticipated feature – comes into play.
The thrust of Upland’s roadmap is user-generated content, aiming to simplify the approval process and provide creators with an easy route to get their content into the game. Alongside this, Upland seeks to broaden the scope of its Cafes – 3D, avatar-based social hubs – exploring monetization options for Cafe owners and creating more opportunities for in-game meetups and activities.
Educating New Players and Enhancing Gaming Experience
Q3 plans also highlight a focus on expanding missions, particularly designed to help newcomers understand the game’s mechanics and options. Upland is expected to introduce further car utility features, including more racing options and the ability to use cars for transportation within and between cities. Moreover, users can anticipate more Legits, such as collectibles from notable sporting events like the FIFA Women’s World Cup and the NFLPA.
