Wild Forest Reveals New Units, Perks, and PvE Mode in Major Summer Update

Wild Forest's WF token sale on Ronin starts 5th December

Zillion Whales, the developer behind Web3 strategy game Wild Forest, has shared its updated development plans for the summer, revealing new content, gameplay improvements, and future features designed to enhance both new and returning players’ experiences.

The announcement follows a recent AMA session and builds on a busy and productive May.

Recent Updates and Gameplay Improvements

In May, several key systems in Wild Forest were updated to improve playability and progression. The Bounty Board now includes new quest types like Lord, Elixir, and Expedition Quests, offering players more advanced and strategic challenges. Some of these quests are available only to Lord NFT stakers and come with higher rewards.

Trophy Road was also reworked to reduce grind and improve progression. Changes include better rewards in higher leagues, improved chest odds, and a smoother onboarding experience for new players. The developers also mentioned future plans to continue scaling rewards as players advance through the ranks.

Additionally, Lord NFT holders now receive exclusive discounts on Battle Passes, with more perks on the way. The new Perk Reroll feature has already seen over 2.6 million tokens spent since launch, making it one of the game’s most actively used mechanics.

Community Tournaments and Engagement

The first community-led tournament was a success, attracting over 3,500 new installs in just one week and generating helpful feedback on game balance. Zillion Whales credited the event with boosting engagement and strengthening ties between players and developers.

Summer Content Rollout

Throughout the summer, Wild Forest will receive new units, maps, perks, and more tournaments. On June 9, a new unit called the Drumkeeper became available for Lord users via fragment minting. By June 23, the unit will be added to the Battle Pass, and shortly after, to Trophy Road and Castles.

Other short-term additions include balance patches, community tournament events, Lord rank-up discounts, and the introduction of Wild Shards—an in-game item exclusive to Lord stakers.

Looking Ahead: PvE and More

Beyond the summer, Zillion Whales plans to launch several long-term features when market conditions improve. These include a PvE mode, expanded tournaments, details on the in-game Lands system, a Unit burn competition, and larger user acquisition campaigns. The team aims to hold off on these updates to ensure they deliver the strongest impact possible.
